Made in Japan by Midori, the MD Notebook uses the brand’s famous MD Paper, which is smooth, creamy, and a pleasure to write on with everything from pencils to fountain pens. The unadorned cover shows off the paper itself, with an exposed cloth-tape spine and a translucent glassine wrapper you can keep on or remove. The thread-stitched binding opens completely flat, and the 5 mm grid, inspired by traditional Japanese manuscript paper, gives you subtle structure for notes, planning, and sketches.
